The Georgian Dental® Core Values

The Georgian Dental® Core Values

Peter Druker once said “Culture eats strategy for breakfast.” To that,  I will add that “Core Values fuels Culture!” These sentiments mean that, no matter how detailed and solid your business strategy is, if the people executing it don’t nurture the appropriate culture and are not driven by a foundational set of exciting and unique Core Values, your projects will be doomed to fail from the start.

We recognize that people are our organizations greatest assets. When the Georgian Dental® leadership team set off to codify our organization’s Core Values, we started with a group dialogue. We identified the model team members. These were the type of people with whom we wished to align more closely with and I wanted to either clone them or bring on precisely more people like them. To do so, we identified a long list of defining qualities. This personality traits list identified all the qualities of the ideal co-worker. Now, there were some qualities that were mandatory. Those were the the “pay to play” traits required to even walk through our doors, such as ethics, honesty and friendliness. Everyone had to pas this first hurdle at every level of the organization, doctors included! However, the Values that made our laboriously fine filtered list were distilled even further into our final Core Values by having to be truly unique and defining of our organization.

The Georgian Dental® Core Values have become the ideas that will drive our day to day decision making, hiring and firing practices and help propel the culture of our work family forward. We’ve planned for these values to be foundational to our organization culture, and enduring of whatever the future may bring. Here they are:

Gratitude

You choose your own mindset! So make the decision to be positive. Expressing gratitude extinguishes all negative emotions such as fear, anger and intolerance.

Results Oriented

Say what you do and do what you say. Be transparent. Conduct all your interactions with honesty. Be authentic in your relationships. All your transactions must be ethical and professional. Be. dedicated to keep at a task until you reach the finish line.

Enthusiastically Resilient

Never give up! Failure is part of success. When you fail, learn and recover quickly.

Engaged

Choose to be highly involved and stay relevant. Bring an avalanche of enthusiasm to everything you do.

Kind

Be helpful. Be relatable. Be friendly. Be genuine. Be caring.

“Kindness is more important than wisdom, and the recognition of this is the beginning of wisdom.”

— Theodore Isaac Rubin

The fact that you’re reading this likely means that you are a special curated member of this exclusive family of like minded and driven individuals who put the win for the team ahead of their own self interests. We’re not just a group of individual superstars, but a unified sports team that relies on each others strengths. We complement and complete each other. While we all have our weaknesses, we work to our strengths and are driven by meritocracy. I’m grateful and privileged to work along side everyone of you and proud to share in your success both at work and beyond as your impact in the community will be herd and our record service becomes our unmistakable signature.

Thank you for being part of the Georgian Dental® Family!
