Here’s an excerpt from BCM leader Dr. Macanally’s teachings:
Do you have the courage to embrace these two sentences?
I talk to a lot of dentists. Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds annually.
Year after year. I hear all the stories and the stories fall into patterns.
I talk to docs who are getting what they want, others who are sort of shuffling along, and a lot who are “in the dumps.”
There is a commonality among all of those getting what they want versus all the rest.
Whether they verbalize it or not they readily embrace the following two sentences.
I am the problem.
I am the solution.
When I look at every past problem I’ve had in my dental practices, consulting work, and my personal life, if I wasn’t fully embracing both of these things, there was a lot of blame being handed out and a lot of time wasted on activities that didn’t really fix the issue.
Once you realize that no matter what it is you are involved in, be it in your business or personal life, that the problem and solution and you is reality, decision making and life gets a lot simpler.
